So what happened here was, I was observing my Sunday morning bong rip ritual, and needed to finish reading "Now I Can Die in Peace" in order to get back to my job where I'm supposed to read Current Scripts, not semi-pertinent novels that couldn't really (but I could) make a good movie/series out of...anyway, I lined it up so that I could watch some of the best moments of 2004 playoffs (Celtics aside, 08 was a disappointment for Bostonians. I'll always have trouble forgiving the Baltimore Ravens for winning all the wrong games and losing all the right (cough)Polamalu(cough) ones...if that makes any sense. Flacco ought be stomped in if he's going to play with the Big Bad Assssses or whatever Ray-Ray Lewis calls them; preferably on a basketball court where the WIZARDS "practice," (inspire them not to suck in the U.S. Capitol city) while Secretary of State Clinton looks on alongside Malcolm Colye's fictitious ghost...did I mention the Sunday morning bong rip?) POINT BEING, Joey "the Tapeworm" Flacco would now be the Chuck Norris of QBs: "I'd rather die than not cover a point spread!!!) Moving forward, the pictures you see above are from Game 4 of the 2004 ALCS aka Most Important Red Sox Game of All Time, and as the Sports Guys clearly pointed out to us, too many stars aligned for that anti-Yankees comback for any of it to make sense. So I had a partial-flashback to being on Comstock Ave. in Syracuse New York when this game was on, as I did shot upon shot of (I remember exactly) Jim Beam (not my whiskey of choice). I think, being a bit of a Ganjslinger at the time (I don't like the DD word), that this moment of 4:20 parallelism was the first time my brain became ready to accept a sign from above...the Sox would prevail. And they did. And now I sit here on Sunday morning without any interest in sp---what's that? Syracuse is ranked 8th? But I was JUST in the middle of HBO's "Rome."
Then I check espn.com only to see CUSE losing 38-33 at halftime at the Carrier Dome (but the C's are up on Dallas after many edits to this posting!) , where I once sat for this game: http://www.techsideline.com/football/2002/games/surecap.htm and my personal favorite http://www.usatoday.com/sports/scores103/103032/20030201NCAABSYRACUSE--0nr.htm
But the sun is out, and there's this photosynthesis thing I gotta take care of...must find basketball pump, bluetooth headset, ankle brace, cool outfit, and do laundry before Monday comes, yet again. OH, and now I hear a very cute female voice coming from new roomie's room for the first time. Go Roomie!
